John F. Rodgers is an attorney with Redmon, Peyton & Braswell, L.L.P.  in Alexandria, Virginia.  He has been in the active practice of law for 30 years.  He has tried to focus his practice in the areas of tax, estate planning and business planning and will and trust administration.   He is licenced to practice law in Virginia, Florida and the District of Columbia.  He has appeared before local courts in all those jurisdictions, argued before the Virginia Supreme Court and has appeared in the Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. District Courts of DC and Virginia, and the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.   He is married and his interests are church, toy trains, golf, and is passionate Redskins, Capitals and Nationals fan.

John received his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary and received his bachelors degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

He is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and is a frequent speaker on Tax topics.  He has served as a business law instructor at Strayer University and has taught numerous CLE’s.
